Boudoir

I have only shot families, kids, birthdays, engagements, babies, weddings, but I”ll try anything. Photography is fun, and it is all about learning and experimenting.  When my friend asked me to take some photos of her for her boyfriend for valentines day I said sure!   When shooting kids you are lucky to get them to look at you, sit still, smile, let alone worrying about all the dynamics of lighting.  I figured she would get some great photos, and I could take a few hours and play around with lights and experiment on my shooting = win win!  These were the shots that I was the most proud of!  She looked great in all of them, but I am just looking at the angles, lighting etc.  These are with permission to post and I thank her for asking me and allowing me to learn.  We had fun and I love each new experience I get to do!  ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Hello 2013

Hi everyone!! 2012 was an amazing year!! I am doing some restructuring and a little bit of formalities as to be able to provide a better experience for you! My goal is to provide something special, high quality, professional, fun, affordable, and something that will leave an impression and last a lifetime!

All sessions (child, family, engagement, maternity, etc) will be one standard price $125 (with the exception of newborns as more time is needed and of course weddings or events) The session price will include some prints (2 8×10 and 3 5×7) and an online private viewing gallery of all images! Session times will be 60-90 min in studio, or can be at an outdoor location!

All clients will receive a welcoming packet explaining all of the details and about me as your photographer! :). I like to get to know my clients and would like you to know about me as well!! I want to make your experience as fun as possible and provide a service that will have you return as a client or to refer me is the best compliment I could ask for!

A $50 Deposit that is applied toward session fee will be required to hold all session dates as well as a signed contract before session!

I feel that there are two different needs to be met with clients. The digital vs print. I have printed images from cvs, Walgreens, and a pro printing lab. I would like to show the differences in printing and show you that it can be done at a reasonable price, but the difference in high quality images is important. You are paying for experience, professionalism and high quality, and images less than that defeat what you are coming to me for. My objective is not to make money off of you, but to provide you with a fun, professional experience with a high quality standard. You can select and purchase through me the quantity of images that you would like. I will not be making a package or rates or a minimum purchase order. I want things that will be affordable and to meet your individual needs. Prices will be a la cart. $2- 4×6 $4 5×7 $8 8×10 $12-11×14. We can also discuss fun options of larger prints, canvases, metal and wood prints, photo books etc! Explore new ideas, and customize photos for your home!!

Cd’s still can be purchased for $100 with all images and a printing release. I like to provide a lot of images and will edit every usable photo from the session. With the digital age we live in if you would like to have the disk for your computer, digital photo frame, facebook or anything else that is great! You can also have the printing release with it being known that I can not be responsible for the quality of the images you print, but you are more than welcome to print with it wherever you would like! :). I would prefer to have my work represented in the best way, and I also want to be able to meet your needs or wishes!! These disks can be great for birthday invitations, birth announcements, calendars, thank you cards, holiday greetings etc!

With all of this I want to express how much I really love what I do! I love meeting new people!! Watching kids laugh and being able to capture that! Seeing a baby grow up before my eyes and camera, and getting to be a part of it every few months!! Seeing their parents faces light up when they see their child’s or families portraits!! I strive to capture the moments and feelings of a couple in love, or have them remember the moment when they look back years from now. I love each experience and moment I get to be a part of! I want to offer more to people and have something that you can’t just find anywhere!

Thanks and hope to see you in 2013!
Shannon

Wedding Jitters!!!

Wedding jitters…. It wasn’t the bride or groom.. it was me! I have only assisted at one wedding and some great friends of mine asked me if I would come and photograph their special day. They wanted a small ceremony at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens with just their family and a few close friends. A simple ceremony, some pictures throughout the gardens, and a beautiful luncheon after. I said yes without hesitation because I was truly honored that they even asked me to do it! I was extremely nervous though. I am used to photographing kids, babies, families etc. If something were to ever go wrong, I could always redo it. With a wedding it is a one time, one moment, special occasion. What about is something went wrong with my camera? What if one of my lenses wouldn’t work? I started panicking. Then I had to push all of that aside and just went for it. I got there and checked out the beautiful gardens where they would be saying their vows. It was a cloudy day in October, a little chilly but it was too beautiful not to get married outside. I helped the bride get ready and then headed outside to my place. I waited for her father to bring her down the path and photographed the intimate ceremony between them. I then walked through the beautiful gardens with them and took some pictures that I later enlarged and printed on some canvases for them!! My favorite part of photographing anyone, but especially with a couple is to snap a picture of them, and then when they are not looking or paying attention snap again. I love getting the photographs where they are laughing and interacting and truly being who they are. If it were up to me… I would probably hide in the woods and capture pictures that way! I am a little shy and still getting used to telling people how to stand and what to do. I am learning how to handle all situations though and taking a lot from each experience!
